To reproduce:
- open jEdit window
- activate another application in order to make jEdit window loose its focus (by using Alt-Tab for example)
- activate again jEdit window and set the focus to a buffer view area
- now, all typed numeric keypad characters are not inserted until a non numeric keypad character is typed.

When an error is displayed in the Error List window (xml parsing error when an xml file is being edited for example), it is better to not change the focus from the buffer text area to the Error List window. Many parsing errors are just temporally because the buffer is being edited. Generally, there is no need to change the focus to the Error List, global shortcuts can be used instead.
