I have updated the text to the following (commit [24279d] ): CONVERSION MODES ascii This is the default conversion mode. This mode is for converting ASCII and ASCII-compatible encoded files, like UTF-8. Enabling ascii mode disables 7bit and iso mode. If dos2unix has UTF-16 support, UTF-16 encoded files are converted to the current locale character encoding on POSIX systems and to UTF-8 on Windows. Enabling ascii mode disables the option to keep UTF-16 encoding ("-u") and the options to assume UTF-16...
Updated documentation about ASCII mode conversion.
Update po file. New beta version.
New flag 'e' for option -i, --info to print the line break
The text stems from the time when dos2unix had no Unicode conversion. It was the default mode, not doing any ISO character set conversion (option -iso).

Hi, I merged your change, but made a few changes. Users who are not building wcd themselves have no idea what 'make install-profile' is. So I changed it to if wcd was installed with a package manager. In the function definition I kept PATH/wcd.exe. Because the default name of the program is wcd.exe.

Hi, The change in the timestamp shows that the file has been processed. Similarly if you would run sed -i s/aa/bb/ foo.txt , the timestamp of foo.txt will change even if there is no "aa" in foo.txt. The file did run through a filter, and it was replaced by the filter output. Ergo, the timestamp changes. I think this is expected behavior in Unix like environments. What you could do is use the dos2unix -i option. Option -ic will make dos2unix print only the files that would be converted. This command...
