In checking with our resource staff, it sounds like they ensure everything works well up to 1.4kW/m^2, but also have actual measured data with higher values, so 1.5 (or 2.0) would also be OK if you do need a limit. @Paulo: Also appreciate your input and detailed example. Perhaps There are certainly some work arounds possible with careful scaling of various parameters, but it seems the cleanest is to support the physical reality...

Hi Roger, did this ever get resolved? It is very real to have irradiance >1kW/m^2 in real life measured data. Both favorable atmospheric phenomina and local effects, such as reflections off of snow or water can bring the irradiance notably higher. As such I also wonder if using the kVA limit is sufficient.
