Details:

Most of our job reports show a number of hits for
127.0.0.1, but it's not found in the crawl.log. Is it
an artifact of an earlier self test, improperly
coalesced in the same StatsTracker?

These are therefor DNS lookups (the DNS hostname is used for those rather then the hostname of the host being looked up). Looks as if this happens on machines that handle their own DNS lookups. Perhaps we should detect this situation and replace the DNS hostname (or IP) with a better description. In any case this is not a bug.
