Little Shape Convertion

I have compiled e002shp on a Mac G4 running os x 10.2.6.

The *.AAT and *.BND files are successfully created, and
then e002shp crashes. The error messages and crash log
are attached below. The same thing happens with all of the
files I have tried to convert so far. Any suggestions?
