5 MS Wireless Optical Desktop on Xebian? - ID: 998251
Last Update: Comment added ( kaganar )

I have an xbox with xebian installed but no usb
mouse/keyboard as yet...

I am about to receive a MS Wireless Optical Desktop set
up and wonder if this can be used as a wireless
keyboard and mouse would be ideal for my xbox setup.

Can this be used, and what would I need to do to get
the config working?

Thanks

Paul

Your mouse should work (kind of) without any modification,
but your cursor will move up and down when you move your
mouse left and right and other spurious behavior is exhibited...

From what I've read, the problem appears to be with
combination keyboard/mouse USB devices in general.

View the following webpage:
http://www.xbox-linux.org/Xebian_HOWTO

Near the bottom is a section titled "Logitech Cordless Desktop".

Follow its instructions. It worked for me, and I have a MS
Wirless Optical Desktop set up as well.

Good luck.
