Tracker: Bugs

5 Creating a new module doesn't appear to work properly - ID: 965844
Last Update: Comment added ( elentz )

TCVS Version: 1.6.12
Windows: 2000 SP 4
CVSROOT goes to an internal pserver accessed over SSH
running on Linux RH 9.0
On server:
cvs -version
Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.11.2 (client/server)
---- Issue ----
When I go to the main repository and select "Make New
Module", enter all necessary information, and then OK,
it creates the module on the server, but it does not
create the module in the local repository. Instead, it
creates a CVS folder. A right click in Explorer then
yields the menu options applicable to being within a
module. If I delete the CVS folder I get the Checkout
option that I would use to get the new module, but when
I do that and enter the new module's name in the
checkout, it says,
"cvs checkout: in directory.:"
"cvs checkout: cannot open CVS/Entries for reading: No
such file or directory"

I see that I should have created the directory, decended
into it and then do the "Make New Module". User error.
