6 XML logger plugin - ID: 902424
Last Update: Comment added ( btrammell )

A plugin that writes out a snapshot of the current state
of all the Hosts & Services to an XML structured file.

This file can then be either parsed into a presentable
web page or made directly presentable with a CSS
include file.

I actually once considered this as a core feature - that Mars would have
the ability to dump its configuration with statuses and status properties

attached to each of the services in the configuration. I'll see if I still
have
any of that code...

Yup that is exactly what I meant. I'd like the output from
this plugin to be used to generate a webpage (likely with a
little processing) that I, and others on my team, can view
from anywhere to get the status of the network (without the
intense amounts of grief that spong/ngaios require to setup).

I'm presuming the idea here is to write out a new snapshot every n
seconds, as opposed to the CSV logger, which is designed more for history

tracking. In that case, this seems completely doable in a near-future
release (maybe 2.2.6, maybe the one following...)
