5 256mbit limit - ID: 888077
Last Update: Comment added ( nobody )

Pogoshell seems limited to the first 256mbit of a larger
cartridge. Games beyond that don't show in pogoshell's
cartroms folder, even though other loaders show they've
definitely been flashed to the cart. Exhibited on an F2A
Ultra 1gbit.

If a larger cart is needed for testing/dev, I can probably
help.

Well, since misery enjoys company, you are not alone in your difficulties
in getting PogoShell to work with roms loaded past the 256 MBit barrier.
The latest version of Pogoshell attempts to place the roms at even offsets
to find roms past the 256MBit barrier, but the roms will usually not load
if they are located past the 256MBit barrier. I have had limited success in
getting the first 512MBits of my 1Gbit card to work, but even this is
haphazzard at best.

Pogoshell is an awesome GBA shell, and it is FAR, FAR superior to the
Flash2Advance shell. Should Sasq or someone else choose to continue
development, I'd be more than happy to pay for a working product on the
1GBit cards!
