The open source netjuke project
(http://netjuke.sourceforge.net/) has good utilities for
reading in idv3 mp3 information, and does good
streaming when you're away from home. Using mserv,
I'm finding that the mp3 information from a significant
number of items doesn't get read (but does get read by
netjuke). The database approach with netjuke also has
some advantages. It'd be great to see these two
efforts brought together.
