5 memory leak - ID: 780599
Last Update: Comment added ( eblot )

Thorn is having a memory leak problem. It can used up
to more than 100 MB of RAM even with just simple UML
class diagram. For example, simply having a single
DisplayItem on the diagram, by repeatly move the
DisplayItem, increases memory usage. This is a serious
problem.

Same issue.
It looks like every time a diagram window is scrolled or a
item is moved within the view, the JVM eats about 10MB of RAM !
I tried with both 1.4.1_01 and 1.4.2_01 JRE for Windows.

On a Pentium III 1.3 GHz, it takes approx. 2 seconds to move
an item (like a class icon) within a view, which makes Thorn
nearly unusable.

Once the simple UML diagram is loaded, the JVM consumes
about 35MB of RAM, which looks like normal.

However, it reaches over 130MB in less than 15 actions
performed on the UML diagram items...
