I use both PGP/GPG and S/MIME (Thawte certificates). When GPGRelay receives
a S/MIME message from the mail server, I get:
This mail was signed (PGP-MIME).
,-----GnuPG output follows (current time: Tue, Apr 01 2003 - 16:16:07)--
|
| no valid OpenPGP data found.
| the signature could not be verified.
| Please remember that the signature file (.sig or .asc)
| should be the first file given on the command line.

I like GPGRelay, but it becomes unusable if S/MIME messages aren't handled
properly.
