Namespace declarations in TEXT output - ID: 655948

When the result tree contains elements in a namespace,
and the result tree is serialized using the TEXT output
method, the output file contains orphaned namespace
declarations such as xmlns:a="b". Element start and end
tags are correctly suppressed, but the namespace
declarations are not.
Applies to 7.3 and 7.3.1 only.
