1 RFE- metronome tick routing - ID: 630000
Last Update: Comment added ( dmmcintyr )

The output of the metronome should be configured by the
following parameters:

- Which midi-out device (and bank/channel ?)

- Which instrument

- Which note

- Which volume (?)

hmm, maybe the cleanest way would be to make the
metronome an always existing, sometimes hidden,
read-only, rosegarden track. Unfortunately I have no
idea how easy that would be to implement, since I don't
know anything about rosegarden internals, so you can
disregard this paragraph entirely if you want :-)

I'm not sure what part of this isn't still satisfied. You can pick three
notes for each of bar, beat, sub-beat, and you can pick the device and
instrument, and the velocity for each. You can even use synth plugins. We
probably just lost track of this request and missed closing it.

We're sorry, but there is no chance anyone presently on our staff will
have time to consider this request. Perhaps you'd like to buy your way
onto our staff by presenting us with this request re-expressed in patch
form.

I would like two notes, one for metronome bar clicks and another one for
beat
clicks.

The classic Maelzel metronome has two sounds. The bar click sounds like a

bell, and the beat ticks like a wood block. GS instruments have a drum map

with these sounds mapped to notes 33 and 34.

Using two notes you can set the metronome volume low, but still feeling
the
rithm.
