Tracker: Support Requests

4 Project registration rejection: trustos - ID: 616978
Last Update: Comment added ( pat )

Hi,

I am afraid I have to bother you with a "manual"
support request and appreciate the effort you spent on it.

I/we were submitting the project request attached below
(trustos) and were receiving a denial. Before
resubmitting a sligthly changed request we would like
to make sure to then meet the requirements. The initial
notification told, that the project description you
submitted was deemed inadequate for purpose of project
approval. If this is the only reason would it help to
try to describe how the trustos broker system might work ?

We were planing at the initial (research) phase to put
the referred paper online (after it had been presented
on the workshop). So far our main idea would be to take
advantage of the "knowledge and ideas" in the
human relationship world (including trust
relationships) and convert
these toward the computer domain. This will eventually
end up in either
an access control system or in a way not yet foreseen.

As for the reason of applying for a sf project - we
would like to point
attendens of the workshop to the sourceforge project
page and ask
them to join the discussion. We understand that at this
stage this will
be a more theoretic/idealistic discussion and might not
have such a clear description as other open project do.
Never the less we hope
that we could utilizise the brilliant tools provided by
sourceforge and at the same time spread its popularity
among fellow researchers.

Awaiting your reply with many thanks in advance
Sincerely Joerg Abendroth & Jean Marc Seigneur

Hi Joerg and Jean

SF.NET's mission is the creation of Open Source
Applications. The project that you list is related to
building an Open Source program but is not actually an
application.

We do not host 'content' based projects. This is why your
project was rejected.

P.S: The date of the workshop we would like to make the
trustos project known would be 10th October. If it would be
possible to clarify matters before this time we would be
most gratefull.
