This is probably really dump but how do I change the
status of my project from alpha to beta?

You may change the Trove categorization for your project as follows:

First, login to the SourceForge.net site as a project
administrator for your project. Second, access the Project Admin
page for your project (using the 'Admin' link in the navbar of
your project summary page. Third, make use of the 'Edit Trove
Categorization' link on the Project Admin page for your project.
From this page, you may configure the Trove categorization for
your project. Most data changed by updating the Trove will be
instantaneous, though some will be affected over following days
as behind-the-scenes scripts on SourceForge.net process this data.

Should you have further questions or concerns regarding this
matter, please submit a new support request.

How long should I expect to wait for a reply normally?....its
quite important I get the status changed.
