What about leaving the sized image in place and removing the
original only. When archiving an album, you would copy the
entire album to another location or create a static version
to reside on a CD. Then, to still keep the album available
for a while but reclaim disk space, remove the originals and
only show the thumbnails and the sized images.

Hi,

I would rather like to see gallery putting the entire album
to another location, lets they "archive". this archive
should have the capability of being moved to another
location without breaking all the information (caption etc.)
for the photos.
Additionally, there should be an option to archive an album
manually.

Reason: When not doing server hosting webspace is limited.
I'm webmaster for my Re-Enactment group, creating new albums
regularly. Since we have re-occuring events it would be okay
to move the old album to an archive, perhaps located on
another machine.
