In some situations mouse response lags annoyingly, and
lethally. On Ork (450mhz K6-3, TNT2) this was not
always the case, but it is now (well, maybe I changed
from GeForce to TNT2, but that shouldn't hurt).
One proposed way of fixing this, is to use GII (Generic
Input Interface, I think) instead of X events. IIRC
kernel 2.4+ might be needed to actually get winning
performance from GII.
To reproduce choppyness, use a computer as crappy, or
crappier than the one mentioned above. Fly right into
the balloon swarm at full speed, reversing direction at
the last moment. Your copter won't turn as fast as it
should, and you'll smack.
