OV511 Webcam driver for BSD

5 Creative Labs WebCam 3 problems... - ID: 427777
Last Update: Settings changed ( jhermans )

Hiya...

According to DMESG (FreeBSD 4.3-STABLE), I have this:

ugen0: OmniVision OV511+ Camera, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 2

Yet ovtvid-bsd will not detect my camera, it
complains "vid: couldn't locate an OV511 device",
forcing it with "-d /dev/ugen0" does not work either.

I'm assuming that little '+' in OV511+ is causing me
the grief? My webcam is a Creative Labs WebCam 3 (aka
model CT6840).

Any chance of having this revision supported?

Thanks! ... Jamie

Well ... I grabbed v1.2 from CVS. It seems to find my
webcam now, but causes this error - which in turn locks up
FreeBSD entirely.

May 27 21:03:03 /kernel: ohci_device_isoc_start: not
implemented

Relevant parts of DMESG:

ohci0: <AcerLabs M5237 (Aladdin-V) USB controller> mem
0xdf800000-0xdf800fff irq 12 at device 2.0 on pci0
usb0: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support
usb0: <AcerLabs M5237 (Aladdin-V) USB controller> on ohci0
usb0: USB revision 1.0
uhub0: AcerLabs OHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00,
addr 1
uhub0: 2 ports with 2 removable, self powered
ugen0: OmniVision OV511+ Camera, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 2

Any thoughts?

... Jamie
