netatalk

Try this:

Download gene from
<http://www.ics.uci.edu/~eppstein/gene/>

Double click on Example.gene.

It loads fine.

Drag Example.gene to a netatalk server.

Double click on the server copy of Example.gene.

It died with an error:

Error reading File "Example.gene"; No
Field Description (-306); Line: 4. File
read aborted; creating a new
database.

This may be a bug in Gene, but since it works with a
local file, I tend to suspect not.
