Hello,
The CVS server did not go back on-line until Wednesday, after a manual
sync was done. Please try to access the
CVS server again.
If there continue to be permission problems, missing files or lack of
access, please submit another support request
and we will look into it.
Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Sincerely,
SF Support

I can't use the -r flag for checkouts or for exports:

linux% echo $CVS_RSH
ssh
linux% which ssh
/opt/ssh-1.2.27/bin/ssh
linux% echo $CVSROOT
fadushin@cvs.jpl.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/jpl
linux% cvs log Makefile.in
fadushin@cvs.jpl.sourceforge.net's password:

RCS file: /cvsroot/jpl/jpl/Makefile.in,v
Working file: Makefile.in
head: 1.1

psingleton_patches: 1.1.0.2

pass)
=============================================================================
linux% cd /tmp
/tmp
linux% cvs get -r jpl_1_2_0_pre2 jpl
fadushin@cvs.jpl.sourceforge.net's password:
cvs [server aborted]: cannot write
/cvsroot/jpl/CVSROOT/val-tags: Permission denied
linux% cvs export -r jpl_1_2_0_pre2 jpl
fadushin@cvs.jpl.sourceforge.net's password:
cvs [export aborted]: cannot write
/cvsroot/jpl/CVSROOT/val-tags: Permission denied

It looks like the repository has some funny
permissions, but I can't seem to locate these (other
than by checking out CVSROOT).

Any hints?
