I've attached an install file with instructions for building on Linux
(adapted from the instructions on the Wiki) and also included instructions
for a successful build on Mac OS X 10.6.2. I agree the file should go with
the source tarball, since it's not very likely that people will find the
Wiki first. Instead most people just download the project file and look for
a README or INSTALL file. Actually more people look for a README, so maybe
that's a better name or have a README point to the INSTALL file for good
measure.
