MusE - Linux Music Editor

Tracker: Bugs

5 Compiles fine, crashes immediately on invokation - ID: 2894009
Last Update: Comment added ( mark322 )

I bought a new computer, so I put Gentoo on it, and after compiling on
gentoo 0.9 (or the most recent 1.0-rc3 version from source), it completes
compiling just fine, but as soon a I try to run it, I get the following
error message. I'm really hoping someone can help me. MusE has helped me
immensely run my music business's MIDI capabilities.

Here's the error message:

muse: malloc.c:3074: sYSMALLOc: Assertion `(old_top == (((mbinptr) (((char
*) &((av)->bins[((1) - 1) * 2])) - __builtin_offsetof (struct malloc_chunk,
fd)))) && old_size == 0) || ((unsigned long) (old_size) >= (unsigned
long)((((__builtin_offsetof (struct malloc_chunk, fd_nextsize))+((2 *
(sizeof(size_t))) - 1)) & ~((2 * (sizeof(size_t))) - 1))) &&
((old_top)->size & 0x1) && ((unsigned long)old_end & pagemask) == 0)'
failed.
Aborted

Thank you for any help you can give me. I've grown to rely on MusE due to
its great integration wtih JACK.
