AxCrypt - File Encryption for Windows

Tracker: Support Requests

5 Internal error, invalid function argument in (null) - ID: 2892766
Last Update: Tracker Item Submitted ( polwhele )

Can you suggest any way around this issue? -

"AxCrypt 1.7.1936.0 Beta/ Internal error, invalid function argument in
(null)" message appears when I click on the Control Panel link on 32 bit
Windows 7 Start menu, Same error message appears when clicking Devices and
Printers and Action Centre flag (which are both items within Control
Panel). Maybe with other Windows system buttons but I have not determined
any other reliable triggers.

AxCrypt 1.6.4.4 produces the same error message in Windows 7 on this PC.
And I used to get the same error message on this PC when running Vista -
from memory, not as consistently as now with Windows 7.

I run AxCrypt on another PC - a laptop - with no problems.

I wonder if there might be some hardware problem with this PC, rather than
a software issue, though the PC is usually stable and does not produce
error messages in relation to any other software. Do you have any thoughts
about how to tackle this problem. AxCrypt is a great application but is
unusable at present on this PC.

Thanks in anticipation,
Peter
