Hi,
I'm the lead developer for Puppy Linux. The latest official release uses
GTK 2.14.7. I compiled GTK 2.18.3, but now Rox-Filer misbehaves.
I have tested Rox 2.6.1, 2.9.0 and 2.10.0, all have the same problem.
There is just one problem. A file becomes shaded when it is dragged or a
mouse-button right-click, but the shading is remaining after the operation
is completed.
For example, I right-click on a text file, choose to open in a text editor.
The file thumbnail remains shaded. Even after closing the text editor it is
still shaded. I have to click in the window to un-shade the file.
This causes weird effects. Like, I right-click to open a file in a text
editor. Then close the editor. Then a bit later right-click on another file
to open in the text editor -- but the first file opens.
Another thing that happens, but not always. I drag a selection around a
file, but it doesn't actually become selected, just "shaded". I have to
actually then left-click on it to cause it to change to "selected", then I
can drag it somewhere.
These are really blocker bugs, make Rox very awkward to use.
Regards,
Barry Kauler
