5 Windows not booting, change default boot volume? - ID: 2880167
Last Update: Tracker Item Submitted ( )

I'm running a MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo (from 2006). I believe the firmware to
be up to date, even though it does not match the firmware listed here:
http://refit.sourceforge.net/doc/c4s1_notfound.html

I've just installed Refit for the first time, selecting the enable-always
option. I have two volumes on my hard drive, Mac OS X (Snow Leopard) and
Windows XP. I have an external bootable backup of an old drive hooked up
also.

Refit shows up fine, but when I select windows, it seems to stall out with
the windows icon on the gray screen.

Also, the external drive is showing up as the default... the one that refit
will choose in 16 seconds, even though rEFit is installed on the hard
drive. Is there a way to change the selected boot volume?
