Copying selection in copy mode truncates the last character - ID: 2873096

So when you go into copy mode and select "widgets" (note that "widgets" is
then displayed in yellow reverse mode text ) and then paste that with
Ctrl-b] then "wiget" is all you get without the ending "s". I am using
vi-mode keys using gnome-terminal if that matters.
This is the self-compiled version of tmux I am using
commit 0254cde7f5fbcf2a5cb3cd51f7e61fc82233179b
