5 SyncDocs not working in OS X 10.6.1? - ID: 2862731
Last Update: Comment added ( clevans )

I recently purchased a new iPod Touch 64GB and also purchased the app:
"PocketMoney" which requires SyncDocs" for syncing data with Quicken 2007
to PocketMoney. I am running OS X 10.6.1 on an (April, 2009) Mac Pro, 8 GB
RAM, 2.93 GHz CPU.

My iPod Touch does not find the Bonjour name "SyncDocs." at all. It just
says "Searching for SyncDocs Services." So saying, I can not complete the
syncing process.

When running the troubleshooting command in the SyncDocs folder, I get the
following information:

Firewalls are turned off on my MacPro, and my Verizon Router although I do
have a WEP Password setup on my Airport Express (which I use for my Wi-Fi
connection to the internet.

Is this a known problem, and if so, is there a fix? I'd really like to
start using this app!

Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Thank you for including the troubleshooting log.

We have been receiving reports that Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.6.1 have firewall
issues that prevent connectivity. Your report is the first one that
references a problem with the firewall off. We have submitted a bug to
Apple, they have contacted us, and we are working with them to resolve the
issue.

I will update this artifact as more information becomes available.
