5 prune by year/season instead of by month - ID: 2859794

Details:

Is there a configuration option in alpine or in pine that allows me
prune by year instead of by month? If not there should be one.

I prefer not to have 12 pruning folder for year: I kept 8 years email,
if I use pruning as it is, I would have 8*12=96 sent folders, a big
trouble when I want to search email.

Date: 2009-09-16 10:45 Sender: schamane Personally I always try to keep things simple. I'd suggest not to add another feature. But I understand that Alpine's offer to prune/rotate the sent-mail folder can be annoying. And, apparently, there is no option to turn this off. Maybe this would help? Who wants to save mails by year can do this then easily once a year with the aggregate commands.
