Last Update: Comment added ( monipol )

Hello,

I would like to submit pygr-0.8.0 for inclusion into the Fink package
database.

Pygr (http://code.google.com/p/pygr/) is open-source, cross-platform
software designed to make it easy to do powerful sequence and comparative
genomics analyses, even with extremely large multi-genome alignments.
* Bioinformatics tools for sequence analysis and comparative genomics such
as sequence databases, search methods such as BLAST, repeat-masking,
megablast, etc., sequence annotation databases and annotation query, and
sequence alignment datasets.
* Data namespace for accessing a given resource with seamless data
relationship management. Easy data sharing that includes transparent access
over network protocols.
* High performance graph representation of interval data

Attached you will find two info files: one for Pygr itself, one for the
off-line version of its HTML documentation.

Should you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact
me.

Yours faithfully,

Hello, Marek. Please set the group field to Undergoing Validation whenever
you're expecting feedback from Fink — we usually check only the
submissions that are Undergoing Validation.

There are some issues with your submission:

* (pygr-py.info) There are no python*-nox packages. I assume there were in
the past, but definitely not any longer.

* (pygr-py.info) We do not support OS 10.3 any longer. Also, as Python 2.5
is available on OS 10.4 through 10.6, you can limit your package to Python
2.5 and 2.6.

* (pygr-py.info, pygr-doc.info) The maintainer field in your package
description points to someone who is not you. Is that correct? The
maintainer is not who developed the software but who packaged it for Fink
instead. I'm not comfortable with adding a package description submitted by
someone who is not the maintainer.

* (pygr-doc.info) When a package uses Python during build or execution
time but it's not a Python module itself, we prefer that the package uses
the latest Python and Python modules. In your case, that means
BuildDepends: sphinx-py26, epydoc-py26.

Please fix these issues and submit an updated package description file to
this tracker item. Remember to set the group field to Undergoing
Validation.
