5 Blocking websites dynamically using Google safebrowsing - ID: 2841436
Last Update: Settings changed ( fabiankeil )

Google periodically checks and keeps record of malicious websites. For
example to check if thepiratebay.org was malicious you could do this:
http://google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=thepiratebay.org

There might be other providers as well who might charge a fee. Can we have
an option to dynamically browse to a URL (web-api) based on some expression
processing (in the requested URL) and then allow/deny access again based on
some expression on the (web-api) result?

Thanks for the suggestion.

That's already covered by the TODO list item:
57) Allow piping into external programs to allow more powerful
filters and policy decisions.

The complete list is available at:
http://ijbswa.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/ijbswa/current/TODO?view=markup

Once the next stable release is out, I intend to start working on either
this or the SSL man-in-the-middle stuff in item 16.

I'd also like to see some automated feature myself. Currently I'm doing
it manually using a {+block} and a simple copy and paste of the
"DansGuardian" block list on Malware Patrol. Never heard of that program
but the format is compatible with Privoxy.
