While using TexShop on one particular file, it seemed to corrupt the file
claiming that at the line \begin{document}, had an unnormal end of file.
Deleting and retyping \begin{document} did not seem to help.
However, I loaded the file into TexMaker. It had the same complaint about
the file until I deleted and retyped \begin{equation}. I then tried to use
the file with TexShop. Everything worked for several compilations, but then
the problem reoccurred. I did not experience this problem with any other
source files using TexShop.
The exact error message I got was:
"Runaway argument?
{\contentsline {subsection}{\numb
!File ended while scanning use of \@writefile.
<inserted text>
\par
1.11 \begin{document}
?"
Entering a <return> allows the compilation to complete to a successful
end.
No other error messages are received until I enter create a typing error.
Once I correct the problem, I get the same error message complaining about
\begin{document}
I did replace TexShop to see if that would eliminate the problem, it did
not.
I am using version 2.62 of TexShop with TexLive 2008 on the Mac with OSX
10.52.
lateI am uploading the source file for your inspection.
