guruevi, you're the maintainer, right? If so, then I'll go ahead and
commit the version 1.2.8 just uploaded here by alexvial. The only change
is a bump in %v and the patch file is identical, so there should be no
surprises. You can then decide whether to close the other (devel branch)
tracker item.

The stable version would probably be better, complete backups are kind of
important.

I have submitted a separate bug report on Python 2.5 & 2.6 because
rdiff-backup doesn't compile on Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 so I was
awaiting the update before I was going to submit an updated package.

Here is the update for the last stable version 1.2.8.
I do not know if it is better to use this version, or the version from the
unstable branch 1.3.3.
I use it to backup on Ubuntu, which uses the stable version 1.2.8 as for
9.10 (Karmic Koala).

What is the status of this item?
