5 mpg123-1.7.3 for windows shell problem - ID: 2795797

mpg123-1.7.3 does not work in a windows shell (dos prompt)

If I use a msys shell, it works.

Version mpg123-20090511142022-x86 is fixed, though.

I am just reporting this, so the next official release does not suffer from
the same problem

Date: 2009-06-11 23:39 Sender: crotalus33 Hi, I did not compile anything. I am using: mpg123-1.8.0-x86.zip I always downloaded the pre-compiled mpg123 for windows. To reproduce the problem: 1) put mpg123 in windows path 2) call from a dos shell - mpg123 "name of a song" If mpg123 is not in the path, it works, by using the full path. However, with mpg123 1.6.4, it works either way. Also, trying to call mpg123 from inside a python script is only working if I use an old version, such as 1.6.4
Date: 2009-06-11 22:51 Sender: sobukus Eh... so 1.8.0 still has it. I'm a bit confused ... we made the first 1.8rc ten days after 20090511 ... you said a snapshot from then has been OK. So, perhaps we should got a bit back and tell the story from the begining: You compiled yourself? Installed to that place? You got a binary from mpg123's download area? I'll have to ask the windows guys to test that again... but a bit more description would be good. Especially on what verison works and what version does not under what circumstances.
