5 openGL for hardware acceleration - ID: 2793853

Most hardware acceleration(GPU instead of CPU) is available when using
openGL. investigate the posibiltiy to take advantage of this

Note: some features won't be available (or very hard) under openGL but my
understanding is we never actually edit our graphics so we don't need all
possible 2D features.

I Investigated OpenGL for widelands before. When using it, we loose our
cuddly 2D look and get smeary, blocky, triangely 3D Surfaces. I vote for
having this feature, but the _optics must not change_. Widelands should not
be another 3D game.
