I'm currently testing a build from 2009-04-08 git, using the xfce desktop.
When I use the "open terminal here" feature of the Thunar file manager
(which comes with xfce) on a smbnetfs directory, the terminal window takes
a minute or three to show a shell prompt. The prompt appears instantly on
non-smbnetfs directories, and using "cd" to enter the smbnetfs directory
from a local directory is also instant. I'm guessing that either the
terminal program or the shell is trying to retrieve some directory info
that smbnetfs is slow to deliver, but I'm not sure what to look for in the
logs.
