Drop-down lists are not shown if the screen is too small. For example, when
booting from CD with a 640x480 resolution, if you go the Screenmode prefs,
you can only cycle through the modes by clicking the button repeatedly.
Maybe there should be a workaround for this for the screenmode prefs by
using a non-drop-down list instead, since I presume it's a problem that
everyone using a native video driver will run into. It might be a tidier
solution anyway if the list of modes continues to lengthen.
