5 CsOptions in CSD - ID: 2589595
Last Update: Comment added ( menno0 )

- include the <CsOptions> in the generation of the CSD to File but also to
Screen.
I moved back to windows and do not exactly know when .csoundrc or the
options in Program Options of Blue are kicking in. i would prefer the Blue
options over the .csoundrc because sometimes i plug in a USB mic and the
Program Options in Blue are more accessible than editing .csoundrc.

i agree with your choices towards the CsOptions and the decisions you made
in Blue about this, but i would just like to see these options when
Rendering To Screen or To File.
There is this priority question
-http://www.csounds.com/manual/html/CommandUnifileParFile.html- and i'm not
quite sure what options are taken when i render.
I'm struggling with the full-duplex values of my soundcard, because i get
this warning:

PortAudio: selected output device 'M-Audio Delta ASIO'
WARNING: buffer size should be an integer multiple of ksmps in full-duplex
mode
writing 200-byte blks of shorts to dac6

so i would like to see the values that are actually passed on to csound
and know the place where to edit them and find out the right values

Hi Menno,

I normally don't like using CsOptions as I think it's somewhat a mistake
in design to have system dependent features in a project. It's the
rationale behind blue's virtual devices (Audio In, Audio Out, Midi In, Midi
Out) such that project rely on those features, and the features are
configured application wide. For my own usage, if I plug in a USB headset
or microphone to test things, I normally have it already setup in the
Program Options for that device. If the device isn't there then when I go
to use Audio In csound will complain the device is not there, and if the
device is there all is well.

Could you explain a little more about your usage so I can better
understand?

Thanks!
steven
