5 Wrong encoding on web page - ID: 2458153
Last Update: Comment added ( wkendrick )

When using the browser setting for choosing the language on the web page
the encoding is wrong. I have my browser set to Swedish and the web page is
marked as latin-1, even though it's clearly encoded in utf-8. The result is
really ugly. The HTML includes <meta http-equiv="Content-Type"
content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">

If I choose Swedish from the drop-down list the page is properly marked as
utf-8. The HTML includes <meta http-equiv="Content-Type"
content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">

I believe it should be working now. (I tried in Firefox with my preferred
language set as 'sv', and didn't get any apparent garbage characters due to
incorrect encoding.) Please reopen if not.
