Monkey Boards

It would be nice to be able to easily integrate another account system into
MB, for people adding forums to a site that already has logins for a
different purpose. Basically it would make logging in or registering in one
system work on both simultaneously.

For example, you could include a php file that provides a few functions:
1) A function to register users on MB based on pre validated required info,
so existing users could easily be copied across to MB (and news users could
use the existing registration, and be added to both systems easily).

2) A function to check if the MB user is logged in, so one could just post
existing login forms to MB, use this function, and eliminate the existing
login.

3) Two functions that, if logged in, return username and id.


I'll admit it's a bit obscure, but probably quite simple to implement, and
I for one would find it really useful.
