5 Nitch scrolling behavior (misses tasks if more than 28) /SNP - ID: 2333593
Last Update: Comment added ( eck )

I'm really enjoying Nitch! But I've encountered a problem with the
scrolling behavior, and with using it with Super Notepad.

First, on scrolling: When I open my tasks in Nitch, using "Projects" to
sort the view, the counter on the bottom reads "1/35". There are 14 next
actions on the page. Then I scroll down--ought to be a "15" right? But the
counter reads "22/35" and indeed, the next actions that would occupy the
"15-21" slots can't be seen.

If I sort by "Action," I see the same scrolling behavior, but (of course,
because it's sorted differently) different tasks appear, including some
that I was missing on the other screen.

It seems to be just a viewing problem, no data being lost. I can work
around it by limiting my Next Actions to only 28, but I often have many
projects on the go.

Second, on using with Super Notepad: I use Standalone's Super Notepad 1.87.
When installed with Nitch, I see odd formatting of the UI elements in the
Notepad--text / buttons appear behind SNP's arrows / etc buttons at the top
of the display. I can fix this by being sure Nitch is loaded after SNP
(i.e. freeze Nitch, reset, thaw Nitch = beautiful Notepad display
back)--so, another workaround.

Thanks for this excellent software! And I hope the above bug reports /
feature requests are useful.

Ok, I fixed both issues in Nitch 2.2

Definitely thanks for the report! I thought I had this right, but I'll
retest.

The SNP problem is something I've seen as well, and I'll see if I can
figure out a workaround.
