5 make recurrent tasks appear in calendar - ID: 2243466
Last Update: Comment added ( rogue_ronin )

this seems like an essential thing for a program like this...but it doesn't
seem to be available yet.

it would be really useful if when you make a task recurrent, all future
(repeated) instances of the event appear on the calendar. as it is, it
seems that this doesn't happen.

nevertheless: fantastic program! i love it.

Actually, as near as I can tell, it doesn't add an event to recurring
events. The original date shows, but the recurrence doesn't.

Unless I too, am misunderstanding the interface.

Could you explain how to make a recurring event -- an example that will
show up, say, for five days running?

Thanks!

Great--I guess I'll download the source tarball for 0.2.4 and see if I can
compile it. But I didn't see "Make tasks recurrent" in the changelog for
0.2.2, and I still don't see which item in the changelog was supposed to
include the recurrent tasks--which is why I thought they weren't there!

David, such functionality (as you describe) is available in Osmo since
0.2.2 (the current is 0.2.4) version. This feature request is about
recurrent tasks visualization in calendar.

Yes, please! I'm using Osmo 2.0, which comes with Puppy Linux 4.1.1. My
daughter (who also uses Puppy) was just asking me last night if there's a
way to check off tasks on one day and then have them automatically appear
again on a future day. Unfortunately, there wasn't, so far as I could see.
Please add this important feature, and keep up the good work!
