1 install to localhost fails with pam_thinkfinger - ID: 2051005
Last Update: Comment added ( mephinet )

Hi,
I'm managing my firewalls using FWBuilder 2.0.12 on a Thinkpad T61 running
Gentoo which is equipped with a fingerprint reader. pam_thinkfinger allows
you to swipe your finger whenever a password is required - thereby changing
the prompt, e.g.:

$ ssh localhost
Password or swipe finger:
Last login: ...
$

This modified password prompt breaks the SSHUnx class, which currently
expects that the string "Password" is immediately followed by a colon.

Output:
Copying /[...].fw -> 127.0.0.1:/etc
Password or swipe finger:

and stalls here.

Easiest possible fix I could think of would be to just remove the colon
from the *pwd_prompt variables.

this is fixed in 3.0.0 build 469. Note that installer is likely to not
work with fingerprint authentication because it will not wait once
it gets to the point where pam_thinkfinger module asks for the
password or fingerprint and will try to enter password. However
with this change password prompt from pam_thinkfiger is recognized
and password authentication becomes possible.

I should say it should work with this change. I can not test it myself
because I do not have a computer with fingerprint reader. I would
appreciate it if you could test.
