5 Behavior of fsdiff does not match man pages (excludes) - ID: 2038028
Last Update: Comment added ( fitterhappier )

" fsdiff will not care if an object matching an exclude line is present or
absent, and will not print out anything relating to it. Exclude patterns
will not affect things already in a transcript. "

Steps to reproduce:
1) create an exclude that matches a file object in a previous positive
transcript and exists on the client file system.
2) run fsdiff -C

Results:
A minus/deletion line for files that match the exclude

Tested with 1.13.0rc2

This is actually a duplicate of 2038036 (i.e., 2038036 is the real bug.).
The cause is the same. See 2038036 for my patch.

Could you give an example of an exclude line that's not being respected?
