While well documented and coded according to detailed coding standards, the
complexity of the .NET architecture may be difficult for a new developer to
grasp.
Our developer documentation comes in four forms currently:
A. The inline XML comments and line comments within the code.
B. The Class Diagram found within the Visual Studio project.
C. The Coding Standards document found at trunk\Doc\Coding Standards.doc.
D. The developer API help file found at
trunk\OrmapTaxlotEditing\help\APIHelp\Help\Documentation.chm.
The same forms of documentation would exist, but the number of procedures
and classes documented in the API will be expanded and additional
explanation and orientation will be added, including an architecture
overview, diagrams, and how-tos for various common developer tasks (such as
adding a new tool). The coding standards would also be linked to the API.
