5 Title as primary key? - ID: 2029787
Last Update: Comment added ( rwaals )

In the movie (and other?) module(s), the Title field seems to be the
primary key for this table as I can't add a duplicate. Please change this.
The primary key should be something else (the internal item number?).
Duplicates Titles should be allowed. Many movies have the same title but
are made in different years (i.e. remakes). Also I have the same movie on
two different media, DVD and HD DVD. The should be listed separately
because they will have difference, like the front cover photo or edition
details, storage details, loan details, etc.

No problem :)
I just thought "is this a flashback or what?"

I will add a tip of the day for this, good idea!

Thanks,
Robert Jan

Sorry, I didn't intend to file a duplicate report. I did follow up your
comment and found how to set required fields; I turned on YEAR and STORAGE
MEDIUM. This works beautifully! Thanks! Perhaps this incident could become
a quick tip, if not already.

Please refrain from logging duplicate bug reports. I stated in your
previous call:

You can change this setting using the field settings dialog (see the help
for more information).

(set fields to non-required and/or specify that no checks should be
performed duplicate records in the general settings).
