Thunderbird-Tray

Tracker: Bugs

5 TBTray launches Thunderbird automatically with Windows start - ID: 2029756
Last Update: Comment added ( mjtech )

My desire is to have TB Tray start automatically with Windows but not to
launch Thunderbird until I do it manually.

Currently, the TB Tray event settings are configured as I want them as
follows:

1) On TB-Tray start - Do nothing.
2) On TB-Tray exit - Do nothing.
3) On Thunderbird exit - Do nothing.
4) On Windows start - Start TB-Tray

However, when TB Tray starts with Windows it always starts up Thunderbird
automatically although the setting is "Do nothing".

(If TB Tray is started manually it does not start Thunderbird with these
settings; it only starts Thunderbird automatically when TB-Tray starts with
Windows.)

Warm regards.

I have worked around the problem by setting all events to "Do nothing" and
manually copying the TB Tray shortcut link to the Windows Start Menu
"Startup" folder so TB Tray starts with Windows.

Reply to "nobody":

No I do not want Thunderbird to start, I want TB Tray to start with
Windows without launching Thunderbird but it currently does launch
Thunderbird when the settings I provide above should not do this.

what you gotta do is set "ON TB-TRAY START" to start and hide thunderbird
