LayoutEditor

The mouse cursor lags (significantly) when it is over the layout area (i.e.
when it is cross-hairs). It is fine when over the toolbar and menu bars
(i.e. when it is the normal arrow pointer). This laggy behavior occurs in
in Linux (CentOS 4.6), but not in Windows.
