People would like to get serial cable connectivity working with Windows
XP.

This may not mean DCC necessarily if there is some other alternative.

Support for MS-CHAPv2 in the PPP link layers may be required.

MS-CHAPv2 uses MD2. Mike Stevens has provided GPL ported code to provide
MD2 implementation on the IIgs. Thank you Mike. This has been passed to
Geoff Weiss for possible incorporation into Hashtool.
