I use the opera web browser primarily, and firefox when all else fails.
tonight after creating an account, I noticed that I can be logged into
slashdot in one page, and when opening another page by right clicking and
opening in background, the logged in user does not follow unless you click
on login. at that point the user name shows up and you seem to be logged
in. Even just clicking on a link causes a non-login to occurr.

HOWEVER...you are brought back to the home page.....
